The time for publishing a snapshot of my current interests for those crazy enough to indulge in them is here. Increasing busyness has required this to evolve into a no-frills list, having only realistic and temporal items. Read. Click. Buy. Give. If you want. Or not. Makes no difference to me.
- Homestar Runner figurines (great for desks)
- The following shirts (size large, for tubbiness), now that I can wear them to work:
- Commodore logo (or this one; appropriate colors are navy and deep red)
- Commodore “READY”
- Simple Triforce (appropriate colors are charcoal, kelly green, and black)
- Triforce Polo (or this one, or this one at Amazon; appropriate colors are black, navy, and gray)
- Jurassic Park
Teletype Corporation logodone and done- Remington typewriter logo
- Royal typewriter logo
- “FLAGRANT SYSTEM ERROR”
- Videlectrix logo
- Homestar Runner baseball
- For working on restoring my teletypes and interfacing them with the modern internet:
- Precision oiler
- Precision oil
- One to two AtMega32U2 USB Development Boards (IMPORTANT: select “DFU (FLIP)” under Bootloader and “Headers Included” under Headers; if ordering two, one with headers and one without headers would be great)
- Solderless breadboard with extra jumper wires
- Blank development PCBs
- A new soldering iron
- A replacement “V” keycap for my TG-7-A (military equivalent to the Model 15) teletype, which can be ordered from this fellow. Tell him you need catalog number 78966.
- A jar or two of Liquid Electrical Tape
- Soldering iron tip conditioner
- Soldering iron tip tinner
- Replacement USB extension cable (or two) so my nonexistent friends can play classic videro games with me
- Julies, Julies everywhere
- M-Disc writer so I can archive our data to outlive our 10X great-grandchildren
- Pack(s) of 100GB M-Disc BluRay discs… these are extremely expensive ($400+ for a 25 pack), so perhaps this was a bad idea
- 1200 baud Commodore 64 modem (or this one)
- Replacement missiles for my USB rocket launcher (they have proven hard to find; if the first link doesn’t work or you want to try different prices, try this one or this one)
- Hostess Chocolate Cream Pies. Where have all the Chocolate Pies gone?
- A replacement brand for Morrison Meat Pies after their untimely and depressing demise
- A good starter pack of cheap VHF/UHF radios; I’ll invest in the 10 meter band in due time (two are preferred, but I suppose one to start with is fine)
